American Airlines Launches First-Ever U.S. Flights to South Caicos

Travelers seeking a secluded Caribbean escape will soon have an easier way to reach South Caicos. Starting March 15, American Airlines will introduce the island’s first direct flights from the U.S., connecting Miami to this destination twice a week. Known for its white-sand beaches, world-class and bone fishing, South Caicos offers a more tranquil experience compared to the bustling Providenciales.

The new route coincides with the soft opening of Salterra, a Luxury Collection resort by Marriott, further elevating South Caicos as a premier travel destination. Guests can also explore Sailrock Resort, open since 2017, or connect to Ambergris Cay, a private-island retreat offering seamless transfers from South Caicos via its private planes. With exclusive accommodations, stunning scenery, and effortless connectivity, this once-remote paradise is now more accessible than ever.

With demand rising, ticket prices start at approximately $1,238 per person in the Main Cabin and $1,749 for business class. The two-hour flight brings a new level of convenience for travelers eager to experience South Caicos’ charm, making it the perfect gateway to adventure, relaxation, and luxury in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
