TCI-DR Trade Alliance to Strengthen Economic Ties with Landmark Exhibition

The TCI-DR Trade Alliance will host its first trade exhibition on March 25 at the Shore Club, aiming to expand economic ties between the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Dominican Republic. With annual trade exceeding $100 million, the event will connect local businesses with Dominican suppliers, potentially reducing costs on essential goods like food and building materials

Beyond trade, the alliance seeks to encourage investment, with many Turks and Caicos Islanders already engaged in business ventures in the Dominican Republic. Board member Cesar Campbell emphasized the need for formalized agreements to streamline commerce. The event will bring together buyers and exporters across sectors like construction, agriculture, and healthcare, with support from major sponsors such as Invest Turks and Caicos and interCaribbean Airways.

With networking receptions, high-profile meetings, and a diverse exhibitor lineup, the exhibition marks a crucial step in strengthening regional partnerships. By fostering structured trade and investment, the alliance aims to drive economic growth, lower consumer costs, and enhance long-term cooperation between the two nations.
