COVID-19 was officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on 11th March 2020. The Turks and Caicos Islands went under a 24-hour curfew on 28th March 2020 and is now beginning a phased re-opening of certain businesses. A full re-opening of the local economy will begin on 6th July 2020 including a gradual reintroduction of domestic travel. Re-opening of Regional and International Borders will occur on 22nd July 2020.
