According to Visa service provider Official-esta.com, Turks and Caicos suffered the highest percentage of GDP lost due to the financial impact of Covid-19 on world tourism. The country has lost USD$94 million in revenue representing 9.2% of GDP, and is among five other Caribbean nations occupying the top 10 list. On the first day flights resumption in Turks and Caicos Islands, two American Airlines flights and 18 private jets were welcomed into the country. JUSTICE Mabel Agyemang, a Ghanian judge of the highest calibre, officially took up her post as Chief Justice of the Turks and Caicos Islands on April 1. Joining her on the judicial bench this past Wednesday was former Chief Magistrate Tanya Lobban-Jackson. Lobban-Jackson, a native of Jamaica, now serves as a judge of the Supreme Court.
